I’m not sure if I’ve simply gone nuts or something, but in addition to Spanish (I started in July last year), I am now learning French and German. Shortly, I will also be starting Vietnamese and Greek. I love Spanish, and can now read it quite well, but need to add more knowledge into my already, over-crowded brain. 😀 . Is it possible? Who knows? Worth a try though, huh?

I guess I need to clear my head of all the old rubbish – namely what my abusive ex-husband put myself and son through – and to replace it with new, constructive information. I am not saying I will forget my experiences altogether, but I am certainly not going to let it dominate my life.
As long as you are not hurting any living being/creature, do what it takes to make a better you. I am somewhat, in a happy place right now, in the knowledge that my son is with me. He is healthy and growing fast. I do not wish to waste any more time dwelling on the past. I cannot change what happened at the hands of my abusive ex-husband, but I can certainly change the direction in which I move forward. And chose the direction of love, faith and hope.
I chose to rise and to live.
So this is what I shall do.
Much love ❤
Best of luck on this, then travel to all these places. When I first read this I imagined you mixing up the languages and making a new language combined, lol!

I have visited these places already – except Vietnam. But it is on my bucket list!
Luckily, I finished drinking my water before reading the latter part of your comment, It did make me laugh! No. I am not smart enough to create my own language. Thanks for the giggle though! 😀

:)) funny, but truly fun and effective. For quite sometime my hubby and I took to merging the elements and words of English, Spanish and Egyptian Arabic. Mixing them up was also great practice for us💕
And no! Persia I definitely don’t believe one can ever learn to many languages 🙂 God speed Queen!💕

Oh my gosh! I was just imagining those languages merged together. My head was in a spin! 😀 So you are fluent in all three?
You are such a lovely lady. Thank you. ❤ xo

*AwShucks* Thank you ♥. . .and by no means am I fluent in all three. Spanish, I have a strong foundation, and I’m sure I can make it in a Spanish speaking country. . .providing I have a handy dandy note book (I’m much better at reading and writing). Frank is far better at Egyptian Arabic than I am (my everything needs much work). As for English lolz, I like to think I’m fluent!

So between you and hubby, you’re good to go! Fabulous.
Oh, you are funny! It was just easier to say all three at once, than list them one at a time. 😛

Gracias! I thoroughly enjoy Spanish, and I hope I will will the other languages too. It’s taking me a little longer to adapt to German (no offence to my German readers/followers!), but I will keep at it. Mucho amor. x

Persia, you are moving forward and that is wonderful. Yes you can learn all those languages. Languages give one the insight in other cultures, their music and food. What fun it is too.

Oh Leslie, I am enjoying it. I never wanted to learn languages before, but now, aged forty, I can’t stop learning. It just proves one is never too old to try something new.
I still have this appointment on Friday, but I am trying not to let it get to me, for I know, God willing, it will work in my favour. Languages occupy my mind in a positive way. For a moment each day, I forget my troubles.

Pleasure. Please do. Although it’s not face to face, it’s a start, right? When you are in a position to, you can pick up/continue where you left off. x

I took Spanish in high school and still have quite a command of the language. I know a little French, a little German, a smidgen of Japanese, and some Greek. (I know a LOT of curse words in all of them.) LOL
What I always wanted to be proficient in was sign language. For some reason, I think that language is beautiful. My two oldest daughters went to a school for the deaf for a few years and my grandson is learning it at his school right now.

Why does it not surprise me that you know a lot of swear words in different languages?! 😀 Good for you though.
Maybe you could start? It’s never too late my dear. x

I know. For a proper Southern gal, I have acquired quite the potty mouth….kind of had to, considering who I spent the last forty-one years of my life with. It was a means of survival….fight fire with fire.

I know all about you Southern gals! 😀
I still can’t believe you spent forty-one years with him. 😦

I imagine you’ve also heard that Southerners are stupid. There you go! I was a trusting idiot.
I should have been a bar tramp. He would have probably paid attention to me if I was…..he always did seem to enjoy trash on the side. LOL

Just as long as you keep writing in English (or I could manage with French) 🙂

Tee hee! I will Derrick. I think I still have a little while to go before I can write in French – although what I learnt in school is coming back to me.

Good Luck! I wonder about learning multiple languages at once too, I even wrote a couple blogs about it recently.
