WhatsApp

Folks, don’t get me wrong. I am all for privacy, but I must admit, when I saw this up date (broken down into four parts and not in order) on WhatsApp, it did raise an eyebrow. Does this cause concern for anyone else? I mean, what with the world we live in today, plotting here and plotting there, I don’t understand why this would come about.

I remember the London riot in 2011. Blackberry was blamed for not being able to check in on their customers Blackberry Messenger chats. It was claimed this was how the criminals were able to arrange meet ups – undetected – to go on looting sprees, which caused much damage and job losses.

Any thoughts on this?

  1. Too many people worried about being spied Persia. Just some messages to calm them down. There is always ways to intercept key words in the middle of the way.

  2. It is a little freaky. It actually made me think about the adults who say/send inappropriate things to children and the app is saying “hey – you can do all of that on our app and nobody will ever know!” It also seems to be opening the door to do anything illegal through the app and nobody should be able to find out about it.
