I’ve Been Really Busy!

(Image: en.wikipedia.org)

Regular followers of my blog may have noticed that I haven’t really posted much, other than quotes for about a week, which have been scheduled in advance.

I’ve been really busy. Seriously, that’s putting it mildly!

But my little angel Max has been helping me. Well, his version of help anyway. His cuteness just keeps coming!

I’m on the fifth or sixth blanket for homeless cats and kittens in shelters, have been feeding the poor hungry cats whilst Max talks to them, job hunting (I have my eye on two possibilities), home hunting,  as well most importantly – raising my son.

If I have the time, and I hope I do, I will be knitting scarves for the homeless, after I complete a few more blankets. Here’s hoping that I get it all done in time for winter. In addition, I plan to roam the streets and hand out tea/coffee to the less fortunate. I know what it is like to be hungry. I know what it is like to be homeless. I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, but I will not be able to do this until later on.

Anyway, I will be resume with my blog properly tomorrow (I hope), because today is already booked up. I have so much running around to do, I don’t  know if I’ll be able to complete all of my tasks.

Have a wonderful day all. ❤

So, Max and I made it to Georgia safe and sound. (Packing, making arrangements and travelling are the reasons I haven’t been able to write much over the past week).  I must say, it was a very long and odd day. I felt like I was in a different era. An era where the world was just filled with kind, thoughtful people, from all from different creeds and cultures. The events happened in order as follows:

  1. First of all, the gentleman who drove me to the airport was willing to risk a ticket on his car, to help me bring my luggage to check-in.
  2. As I struggled with a handbag, laptop, nappy/diaper bag, Max, buggy and two suitcases, two random ladies with their own luggage, paired up and helped me with my suitcases.
  3. As I queued at check in, the gentleman in front of me was there to see his off son, stayed with me until I got called, so he could help me with my luggage.
  4. The lady who checked me in at the American Airlines desk, booked seats for me so I had extra leg room with Max. This was in addition to reserving a seat for him, even though he was supposed to be sitting on my lap. For my connecting flight, she blocked the seat next to me, so Max could have his own seat, but did advise me that it was a full flight, therefore, someone may have to take the seat.
  5. I needed to to something, but the buggy was too wide to fit through the gap. A lady came by and entertained Max allowing me to complete my task.
  6. Landed in Dallas, Texas. A gentleman refused to let me take my luggage off the baggage carousal, insisting that he does it.
  7. Got onto my connecting flight (see 4). The flight was indeed, full. So, the seat that had initially been blocked for Max was taken by another passenger. We were so cramped! Out of nowhere, a gentleman I’d never seen before, comes up to me and asked me if I wanted to swap seats with him. I thought I saw Row 15… In fact, it was Row 5 in Business Class. I asked the man was he sure. He said “Yes”. True to his word, the gentleman swapped with me. I had so much room!
  8. Upon leaving the aircraft, I felt incredibly ill. Nauseous and in pain from the lengthy travel with Max. A member of (airport) staff was so concerned for me, she told me to rest where I was and to take my time. She also got a blanket for me to throw up on should I have the need to. She made sure I was OK before I set off.
  9. When I got to Atlanta airport, I couldn’t find my friend who was picking me up. I asked a young lady if she knew where a pay phone was. She pointed one out to me, but told me to use her phone instead.
  10. After the young lady left, I still couldn’t find my friend. (Turns out she was at the wrong place). A gentleman spotted me all stressed out, so took over my luggage (suitcases), as I was pushing the buggy as well. He offered me his phone to call my friend.
  11. Upon checking in to the Extended Stay hotel, the gentleman was so lovely and polite (not to mention pretty cute too!). I didn’t need to ask any questions as the customer service was excellent.
  12. Just when I thought everything was complete, my friend did some shopping for me and brought a cooked home made meal back to my hotel, after dropping me off.

Is it even possible, that a twenty-four hour period could be such a pleasant experience? Did I miss something? Because this is definitely not the world I’m used to!

Although they’ll probably never read my blog, I would like to thank each and everyone of them from the bottom of my heart. I mean, of course I’ve heard of good deeds happening all the time, but never so many in one day to one person! Especially not me!
